Number and text formatting

Formatting isn't just cosmetic. "10" could mean 10, $10, 10% or 10.0, and the format decides how other people read it.

• Currency and Accounting add the currency sign. Accounting puts negatives in parentheses.
• Percent multiplies by 100 for display. Type 0.1 to get 10%. Typing 10 gives you 1000%.
• Dates are numbers under the hood: days since December 30, 1899.

Formatting changes how a value looks, never the value itself. That's why ROUND exists.
